Glock 19 Gen5 Review: Could This Be The Best 9mm Gun?

Screws used for Swampfox Kraken: Use #6-32 screws and RMR adapter plate provided with Swampfox optics. Recently with the Trusty Glock 19 I just completed a training block, the sentence continues, "We don't shoot in the dark." That doesn't mean we don't shoot at night, we don't shoot either what or someone we can do. One of the most important things to shoot is to set the target in a good way, so how do you make your target at night? With a gun -mounted lights of course. Olight is no stranger to The Gear Bunker, and the updated BALDR S, which was added recently, got my attention.
BALDR S: Provides both visible green light and 800 lumens of white light. Uptime increased to 140 minutes.
The small form factor makes the BALDR S the perfect partner for the compact Glock 19. This new light from Olight provides 200 lumens more horsepower than the BALDR Mini. The BALDR S produces an impressive 800 lumens with a shooting range of 130 meters. So, we raised the bar once again for light weapons of this size. The inclusion of green light has a secondary purpose for enthusiasts. The user can choose between light only, light/laser or laser only. In addition to improving the versatility of this well thought out light.
Adjustable Rail: Slide the rail adapter back and forth freely to adjust the light in the desired position. Easily install and uninstall in seconds

Mounting the BALDR S is made easy by the quick-release lever. The BALDR S comes with a Glock-specific rail installed but includes a 1913 Picatinny rail for users. After mounting on the gun and before tightening the quick release, the light can slide back and forth on the rail. Make the final modification more user specific. The setscrews lock this setting once adjusted to prevent unwanted movement. Also includes a smart magnetic charging cable to charge the light's proprietary 3.7v 380mAh battery. A built-in red/green light on the cable indicates charging.
Light/laser activation is possible through omnidirectional switches around the defender. A quick downward tap turns the light on. Another quick tap turns it off. Press and hold the button to enable the light. And when you don't need the full 800 lumens, a double tap on the switch returns it to the necessary 100 lumens.
The Olight is the name of the writing niche light mounted on a medium weapon. The lights and lighting are all at a price point that everyone can justify spending money on. While not made for combat, I'm sure this set will serve the gun owner well. Things to remember: The maximum 800 lumens is only available for the first 60 seconds. Before it just drops to 300 lumens for 39 more minutes. Therefore, it is important to save the battery. Also important is the IPX4 rating. It means that the BALDR S is only splashproof. Despite this minor flaw, it will be installed on my EDC Glock 19 for now.
